Alok serves as the Global Chief Operating Officer of McKinsey River Capital Management, where he is responsible for executing the firm’s operational strategy and driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. His role includes overseeing organizational change management, developing a data-driven reporting and decision-making framework, and partnering closely with the leadership team to help shape MRC’s culture, talent agenda, and long-term strategic direction. In addition to his COO responsibilities, Alok helps oversee global client relationships and capital-raising activities at MRC Real Estate, executed through a dedicated 28-person global investor relations and capital formation team. He is also a member of the MRC Real Estate Management Group, contributing to the development and implementation of the firm’s global real estate investment strategy. Before joining McKinsey River Capital Management, Alok was the Global Head of Investor Relations at LaSalle Investment Management in Chicago, where he sat on the firm’s Global Management Committee. Previously, he served as Managing Director and Partner at The Carlyle Group in Washington, D.C., leading capital-raising efforts across global real estate strategies. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Greenhill & Co. and Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Private Fund Group, where he supported fundraising and advisory activities for real estate vehicles across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Alok also spent nine years at The John Buck Company in various investment and operational roles, and began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in the Real Estate Advisory practice. Alok earned both his MBA and BA from The University of Chicago, and currently holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
